Thousands of people gathered downtown as the Memphis Police Department released the graphic video of five officers beating a 29-year-old unarmed Tyre Nichols so badly he died three days later, the Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
The four videos show the officers–who have all been fired and indicted, and all of whom are Black, as was the victim–using tasers and pepper spray on Nichols. The four videos came from officers’ bodycams and SkyCop surveillance units.
