A section of Twitter’s source code, the copyrighted backroom on which the social media platform operates, was hacked and posted to Github, a platform for sharing code, the New York Times reports, the latest blow to the company since Elon Musk took over.
Musk, who paid a 110% premium for the company, promised that he would conduct a thorough investigation to determine who stole the material as well as who may have downloaded and shared the code on the internet. Twitter requested Github remove the code, and Github deleted the content.
