The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee released a list of 33 House seats that are either currently held by Republicans or will be open in 2024 that they will target in an effort to win back the House, Roll Call reports.
The list includes seats currently held by two Democrats–Katie Porter in California and Elissa Slotkin in Michigan–where they will not run for reelection to the House because they’re running for Senate. The list does includes the Colorado seat held by Rifle Barbie and woman who will be a Nana before her first colonoscopy is recommended Lauren Boebert, who barely held on to her sit in the last midterm.
The DCCC will target New York’s George Santos and Brandon Williams; Montana’s Ryan Zinke; and insurrectionist Trump supporter Scott Perry of Pennsylvania. The list was released about two weeks after the Republican House reelection committee announced their targets, a move which resulted in a highly-underwhelming result for the GOP in 2022.
