Unconvicted killer Kyle Rittenhouse is suing one of the men he shot in Kenosha, Wisconsin in 2020 for emotional distress and assault, perhaps because he doesn’t want to get a real job and learned that conservatives are easy to grift.
“Today I have filed a counter lawsuit against Mr. [Gaige] Grosskreutz-for assault and emotional distress we look forward to holding him accountable in court,” Rittenhouse tweeted. Armed with a Glock, Grosskreutz was working as a legal observer for the ACLU when he saw Rittenhouse shoot another protester, prompting Grosskreutz to draw his weapon. Grosskreutz never fired; Rittenhouse raised his gun to shoot Grosskreutz even though Grosskreutz had raised his hands after Rittenhouse shot his first victim. After Rittenhouse’s gun jammed, Grosskreutz tried to jump on Rittenhouse to prevent him from shooting, but Rittenhouse was able to re-rack his AR-15-style assault rifle and shot Grosskreutz in the arm, severing his bicep muscle.
Grosskreutz filed a $10 million lawsuit against Rittenhouse in 2021, a suit allowed to carry on by a judge last year. Rittenhouse has a crowdfunding page to fund his attempt to re-victimize one of his shooting victim, raising less than half of the $500,000 he sought for his “legal defense fund” he set up in 2022.
