The quote in the headline by legendarily uncourageous putative Speaker Kevin McCarthy isn’t from this morning’s Fox and Friends hit where he threatens FBI Director Chris Wray with contempt for not producing a document that may or may not even exist, but from a July 17, 2019 floor speech where he bemoaned the then-Dem majority’s move to hold Trump Administration Attorney General Bill Barr and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross in contempt for refusing to come clean about why they tried to add a citizenship question to the census – with the obvious goal of reducing participation and thus skewering population statistics to ratfuck Congressional redistricting.

We could also have included something about Kev’s refusal to comply with a subpoena from the House January 6th Select Committee, but the 2019 census shitshow works a little better as a shoe on the other foot example.
