House Republican morons James Comer and Jim Jordan are looking at hauling Trump-appointed Delaware US Attorney David Weiss in for testimony after “betraying” them with a relatively light plea deal for their mortal enemy Hunter Biden on tax and gun charges, Punchbowl’s Max Cohen reports.
“I think the US attorney will be invited to testify to some committee, whether it be Judiciary or Weaponization or Oversight,” Comer told Cohen. When asked by The Messenger’s Steve Neukam about the fact that Weiss is a Trump appointee, Comer said “even Trump himself admitted he made some mistakes in hiring. I’m not saying he made a mistake with the US Attorney in Delaware or not.”
Top Oversight Dem Jamie Raskin rolled his eyes, telling Politico’s Kyle Cheney “There is a deep-rooted tradition, rooted in the constitutional separation of powers, of Congress not interfering in the progress in particular criminal investigations and prosecutions,” as if Comer and Jordan care.
