A 39-year-old Maine butcher who repeatedly charged at and attacked police lines during the January 6th Republican-led domestic terrorist attack on Congress was sentenced to seven years in prison Thursday, the Maine Public Radio reports.
Wearing a butcher’s coat with “Kyle” on a nameplate, Kyle Fitzsimons was caught on camera wielding an unstrung archery bow like a staff running repeatedly at the police lines and attacking officers. He was later photographed at an entry to the Capitol, blood dripping down the side of his face and a wild look in his eye.
