A new CNN/SSRS survey finds 56 percent of Republican and Republican-aligned independent voters say they’re “not seriously concerned” with the 91 felony charges disgraced former President Trump faces in four different state and federal jurisdictions while 44 percent say it is in fact concerning to them over his ability to win the 2024 election and serve again in the nation’s highest office.
In another warning sign for Team MAGA, 13 percent of Republicans and aligned indie respondents said a conviction on the charges specific to Donald post-2020 election coup attempt would be disqualifying for the presidency. Yes, like we’ve written before, most of those people are almost certainly lying to themselves or to the pollsters and will come around to voting for him once again, but in an election that will be decided on the margins any loss of support is catastrophic for Trump. Which is why the DC trial’s start date of March 4th, 2024 is just such bad freaking news for him.
