Former president arrested trying to flee country

Military officials on Thursday announced they had foiled an attempt by the disgraced former president to flee house arrest and escape in a helicopter over the border, CNN reports.

Oh yeah, the former guy is ex-Nigerien President Mohamed Bazoum and he was trying to escape to Nigeria after the military took him down a few months ago. Who did you think we meant?
