The driver of the “Santa’s train,” which is just a regular farm tractor made to look like an old-fashioned steam train that pulls two trailers full of children, was arrested Saturday just before Tazewell, Tennessee’s annual Christmas Tractor Parade was set to begin, WATE reports.
Cops were alerted after attendees noticed 40 year-old Henry Meade “acting erratically” and pulled him aside for a field sobriety test, which he failed, badly. Upon cuffing him, police searched Meade and found a syringe, methamphetamine, and other unspecified narcotics. It’s not clear if Meade was wearing a Santa suit and beard when he was arrested as no photos were available.
