Judge Tanya Chutkan denied Donald Trump’s effort to dismiss the DC federal charges for trying to undermine the Constitution by supporting the Republican-led January 6th domestic terrorist attack on Congress to re-install him for a second term he did not win in the 2020 election.
Trump had tried to get the case dismissed based on a number of spurious grounds–due process, executive immunity, and double jeopardy–each of which was summarily dismissed by the Judge, adding to the further judicial humiliation of the multiple-indicted sexual assaulter.
