Judge Engoron tells Trump tough shit, deal with it

Manhattan Judge Arthur Engoron responded to disgraced former President Trump’s lawyer’s futile pleas to stay his $450 million verdict against Donald’s corrupt business empire quite succinctly and mercilessly on Thursday, writing simply “You have failed to explain, much less justify, any basis for a stay. I am confident that the Appellate Division will protect your appellate rights.”

Just Security’s Adam Klasfeld reports Engoron then docketed the judgment after writing that email in response to Trump’s lawyer Cliff Robert pleading for a do-over of the trial on Wednesday.
