The parachute on a pallet of humanitarian aid failed to open as the shipment plunged to the ground, crashing into a refuge camp and killing five, including two young boys, and injuring more than ten, CBS News reports. With six countries–the U.S., Jordan, Egypt, France, the Netherlands and Belgium–currently conducting aid drops in the area, it’s unclear who released the shipment; however, US officials have confirmed that American aircraft were not in the region at the time.
