First, Lar, the Keystone Pipeline is operating. It’s transporting about 500,000 barrels of oil per day. The XL part wasn’t constructed, so there was nothing to “shut down.” Second, the US is producing around 13.2 million barrels of oil daily–the maximum output. So the red thread linking Keystone XL to Hamas’s attack–already thread-thin–is some “really dumb stuff.”
