A new Data for Progress national survey finds that 60 percent of swing voters, defined by the pollster as “Biden 2020 and Trump 2020 voters who are now considering voting third-party or for the other major party’s candidate, voters who say they’re undecided about whom they’ll vote for, and new or first-time voters who are weighing multiple options,” either strongly (40 percent) or somewhat (20 percent) approve of convicted felon former President Trump getting schlonged 34 times over by a 12 New Yorkers. Another 16 percent didn’t know while 24 percent disapproved.
The survey also found 52 percent overall – 44 percent strongly, 12 percent somewhat – approved of the verdict. Nearly a fifth of Republican respondents, 18 percent split 9 percent each at somewhat vs strongly, approved of the verdict and 75 percent disapproved, 57 strongly to 18 somewhat.
Data for Progress is a lefty pollster so assume some sugarcoating. And it would’ve been helpful if these “swing” voters were also in “swing” states because a “swung” vote in West Virginia means about as much as it does in Oregon: jack shit. Still having less than a quarter of the people who might vote for a Trump Reich actually opposed to his conviction ought to be pretty fucking terrifying to the fat bastard as he runs to avoid the consequences of his life of crimes.
