A very bad dog who was reaching for a treat in a jar stored behind a range accidentally turned on the stove and started a raging house fire in Parma, Ohio on Sunday, Cleveland19 reports.
The owner suffered second degree burns trying to rescue the four dogs present in the home that suffered extensive, though not total, damage in the inferno. Her three mutts were unharmed but sadly a fourth that she was watching for a friend who was out of town went to doggie heaven.
Or hell if they were the one who started to fire. It’s at least the second suspected case of pet-on-stove arson in Ohio in this year, as a Canton cat owner said one of her felines probably ignited a blaze that consumed a home in that city a few months ago. That cat is either in hell or headed there.
