A new national post-Biden debate train wreck survey by Dem internal pollster Bendixen and Amandi finds former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton leading convicted felon former President Trump 43 to 41 percent in a 2024 matchup, a lead flip from Trump 43 to Biden 42 that Politico picked up to show that Joe’s a weaker candidate this year than the Dem that Trump originally defeated in 2016.
Vice President Kamala Harris leads Trump 42 to 41 percent in that matchup. Interestingly Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer trails Trump 40 to 36 percent and California Governor Gavin Newsom is also behind at a similar 40 to 37 percent, but that appears to be more of a name recognition thing as the undecided share increases to 17 and 15 percent, respectively, in those tests. The undecided share drops to 10 percent on both Biden and Clinton, and 12 percent on Harris.
And yeah, this is what Politico led their marquee daily newsletter with on Tuesday. Hillary slightly ahead of Trump in the zero chance of happening 2024 matchup, Biden slightly behind.
