It’s easy to get lost in the minutiae of that particular flavor of far right conspiracy theory while realizing it’s notionally insane, but summarizing it hits significantly harder.
Anyway, per the Hollywood Reporter, a shit ton of fans of both Swift and Kamala Harris saw the silhouette of a waving female figure appearing behind the 21st century’s female Elvis onstage as a portent of a coming endorsement, perhaps even heavy involvement with the Veep’s campaign as hoped and feared by left and right, respectively. Yes, on one hand this seems very Rorschach test-y, and partisans are going to see what they want to see. It’s also kind of weird that, if this is a tease, what the hell’s the point of just a tease? Why not just come out and endorse Harris?
On the other hand, well, the figure sure looks like Kamala Harris, confirmation bias or not. Whatever the meaning and intent of the image is, it definitely resembles the vice president in height, hairstyle, pantsuit, and poise. The background also kind of looks like it’s invoking the White House.
