The fear is a feature, not a bug, as sources in the Orange God Emperor’s court tell Rolling Stone part of the plan is to make the intended victims do the actual work for them by fleeing the country rather than being rounded up and tossed in camps, perhaps indefinitely, since many of the countries of origin will be unwilling or unable to actually accept deportees. But avoiding the work and the footage of innocent people – especially those who were actually here legally until Trump will have cruelly and capriciously revoked their status based on some made up bullshit – will probably be the better outcome politically for the GOP going forward. The MAGA base are used to rationalizing and making excuses for unfulfilled promises, they’re not going anywhere. Trump can simply lie to them and say he deported 10 million the first month, they’ll gleefully drink that cup of piss. Start ripping families apart and that’s going to draw attention from the dipshit low-infos who thought they were only voting for cheaper gas and to remove the anti-shoplifting barriers from the shelves at Walgreens.
