In an interview published on September 10, 2021 by Fox News, convicted felon President Trump said then-President Joe Biden’s administration “should have never taken the military out first – you take the military out last, after all of the people are out,” with Fox News writing that the fat fuck was specifically “referring to the American citizens and Afghan allies left behind after the US military evacuation mission, which expired on Aug 31,” with Trump then adding “No man, no woman left behind. But we left, what could be, thousands,” emphasizing what he saw as an atrocious betrayal of the Afghans who worked as tipsters and interpreters for US troops during the nearly 20-year war.
It’s a moment that serves as the perfect intro to what happened in San Diego last week, per the Times of San Diego: An unnamed Afghan man who worked as an interpreter for US troops for three years was detained by masked ICE agents as he shouted “I came here to make a better life. I didn’t know that this would happen… I worked with the US military. I worked in a very dangerous part of Afghanistan with the US military.” The man was detained at a courthouse as he showed up for his asylum hearing – a hearing for which not showing up would’ve been grounds for deportation.
