“Happy Friday! The House will meet at 9:00 am for legislative business. Following One Minute Speeches, the House will debate H Res 516 – Condemning the violent June 2025 riots in Los Angeles, California,” says House Majority Whip Tom Emmer in an all-conference memo sent out Friday morning about the sole matter the chamber will be taking up this week, emphasis his on the non-binding resolution for civil unrest that’s already out of the news cycle, for which the only point is to be able to say either “Congresswoman Libtard (D-Woke) voted yes, therefore she agrees with President Trump’s extremely popular and successful law and order agenda” or “Congressman Trantifa (D-Tehran) refused to condemn the violent riots that nearly saw Los Angeles destroyed.”
“At approximately 10:00 – 10:15 am, we will vote on the adoption of H Res 516. Walk off the floor: after the one vote. This is the last vote of the week. Please stay tuned to future updates for information on next week’s schedule,” Emmer’s scheduling memo continued, the implication being that he thinks the Senate will finalize and pass their version of the Big Beautiful Bill by early next week and kick it back to the House for a re-vote before the GOP’s self-imposed July 4th deadline.
