A Los Angeles-area Latino Trump voter tells NBC4 he’s joined an ACLU lawsuit against ICE and is done with El Coño Naranjo after the government’s anti-immigration stormtroopers detained him outside of his business in June. “I truly believe I was targeted because of my race,” says 29 year-old Brian Gavidia. “I believe I was racially profiled. I believe I was attacked because I was walking while brown. Where is the freedom? Where is the justice? We live in America. This is why I’m fighting today. This is why I’m protecting the Constitution,” he continued, adding that he’s now trying to help educate neighbors on their rights if confronted by ICE agents on the street as a form of repentance.
“He ran on lies. We were all manipulated, we were all brainwashed, and now look at us. We’re all suffering because of it. And I feel guilty 100 percent,” Gavidia said after getting what he voted for.
Still hand it to the guy for actually being sorry in contrast to so many others who got what they voted for and yet persist with the “I continue to support Trump however I wish he would make an exception for me personally on this specific policy issue that affects me or my family negatively.”
Or even “this is actually Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s fault that I’m in tan ICE gulag.”
Like what more do you want than a Trump voter outright literally admitting he was manipulated and brainwashed by propaganda? Yes, it only happened after he was nearly thrown in the cages but at least he’s responding proportionately and sticking his head up. Forgive him or don’t, it’s entirely up to you. You cannot however say he isn’t considerably closer to deserving it than literally any of the others who got what they voted for and who have been rightfully scorned since January.
