New York City firefighters on Wednesday responded to a fire in on the 18th floor of the Sherry-Netherland Hotel on Fifth Avenue that broke out just hours after scumbag Steve Bannon’s “dissident” Chinese billionaire sugar daddy Guo Wengui was arrested there by federal law enforcement on various wire fraud, securities fraud, bank fraud, and money laundering charges, WABC reports. It hasn’t been confirmed yet if the fire definitely started in Guo’s $32.5 million, 15-room penthouse unit on the 17th floor or is otherwise connected to his arrest, but it would sure be quite a coincidence if it weren’t and as such the FBI are back on the scene to look into it, per WABC.
In related news, the Daily Beast’s Zach Petrizzo reports that among the many assets seized by the government following Guo’s arrest (including the massive yacht on which Bannon was arrested in August 2020 over the “We Build The Wall” scam) was a $3 million bank account used to fund the day-to-day operations of GETTR, the lame MAGA Twitter clone founded by deadbeat dad Trump minion Jason Miller in 2021, a network apparently still limping along after having been made largely redundant by the launch of Truth Social and then Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter itself.
