In a long piece about the continued resistance by Texas Republicans to any sort of gun control, the New York Times reports that Lt Governor Dannie Goeb (aka Dan Patrick), who presides over the state Senate, last month commanded Uvalde-area Dem state Senator Roland Gutierrez to stop bringing up gun control legislation or Goeb would ban Gutierrez from speaking in the chamber.
