Jesus dork House Speaker Mike Johnson plans to buck his counterpart Cocaine Mitch McConnell in Montana and endorse Freedom Caucasian Matt Rosendale against McConnell and NRSC chair Steve Daines’s anointed golden boy Tim Sheehy after Rosendale enters the Republican primary race to take on Dem Senator Jon Tester on Friday, Punchbowl News reports on more GOP dumbassery.
Rosendale already lost to Tester in 2018 before getting elected to the House in 2022 and the seat is obviously a prime target to flip red, raising the question of whether Rosendale might be kind of strong-arming Johnson given he was one of the eight who took down Kevin McCarthy.
The drama comes just days after MAGA shitposter and Rosendale hater Alex Bruesewitz – who the Daily Beast reported on Wednesday is considering a primary challenge against Republican Wisconsin Congressman Mike Gallagher for the sin of voting against impeaching DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas – was blocked from speaking at a Montana GOP event in a sign that Rosendale’s support in The Big Sky State might be more formidable than the more DC establishment-ish Steve Daines might have anticipated when he crowned the young Navy SEAL veteran Sheehy.
