Members of South Korea’s National Assembly on Saturday passed an impeachment resolution against right wing President Yoon Suk Seol on their second go against him in as many weeks, following his December 3rd martial law declaration that was quickly overturned, the AP reports.
The 204 – 85 vote included just over a dozen members of Yoon’s People Power Party that had flipped from a full boycott on the second go after intensifying protests against the failed president.
Prime Minister Han Duck-Soo will take over as president until Yoon is either acquitted or removed.
