Texas hits new daily high of COVID deaths

Texas hit a dubious daily double today, leading the nation in daily new reported coronavirus cases and setting a new state record for deaths from COVID-19 at 131 fatalities, according to worldometers.com.

Texas topped 11,000 new cases today as its seven-day running average continued its steady seven week increase. Florida and California also topped 9,000 daily new cases reported. Florida’s seven-day average has increased since June 1st; California’s has only increased since June 20th.
