The Trump campaign spent $4 million on Facebook ads on the pages of Donald Trump, Mike Pence, Team Trump and now-former campaign manager Brad Parscale, according to the Washington Examiner.
The advertising did little to help Trump, whose job approval rating dropped a half percentage point during the period of the ad purchase according to RCP, which happened from July 6th to July 13th. In the campaign, it had no influence in his race again presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden, who maintained an 8.5 point lead.
The campaign spent more than $180,000 on ads featuring Parscale’s personal page, which highlights his consulting company.
That amount spent on Parscale’s personal page for one week is more than the campaign’s total spend since the campaign began on pages like Black Voices for Trump ($169,325) and Latinos for Trump ($124,939).
