With lame duck president Donald Trump fleeing to the solitude of the White House residence, guests who paid four-figure sums for tickets to celebrate New Year’s at Mar-a-Lago were relegated to mingling with D-list celebrities like Vanilla Ice, Junior and Rudy Giuliani, CNN reports.
Besides Vanilla Ice, the main stage also features such acts of yesterday as Berlin and a couple members of the Beach Boys. In the crowd included Trump sons Eric and Junior, along with various personalities from One America News.
Video of the event showed hundreds of unmasked revelers on the dance floor, including Junior who was taking video of his concubine Kimberly Guilfoyle gyrating to the, um, “jams” of various performers.
Trump opted to avoid the New Year’s revelry after repeated losses in courts trying to overturn President-elect Joe Biden’s November victory. He also may have wanted to leave his announced post-January 20th residence because of a new decor scheme that he disapproves of.
