What the fuck is this? Why not just be honest and say “My voters wouldn’t like it because they’re feeling insecure about White Americans’ socioeconomic dominance over minorities and removing statues honoring slave owners would upset them”? What the hell kind of bullshit is this? If the statues are bad, remove them. If you like them where they are, just fucking say it.
