A second bridge in Pittsburgh has been shut down by the city after it was found to have shifted from its base, a little more than a week after a major bridge in the city collapsed, the Associated Press reports.
The 1,052-foot bridge on the South Busway in the city’s Mount Washington neighborhood is used for public transport vehicles like buses and light rail vehicles. A city worker noticed that a joint on the bridge had separated and notified the transportation authority, which shut down the 45-year-old bridge.
