Or as real as can be in a Fox News “exclusive” that says the US Fish and Wildlife Service is trying to hit Orsted with the fine for the deaths, the first of which occurred in March 2024 at Orsted’s Plum Creek facility in Nebraska. The second was in Illinois in April of this year.

The permits are actually a thing and it is a requirement of turbines situated in proximity to known bald eagle nests. Problem is here that at no point in the Fox News article is it mentioned that these incidents were a clear breach of that stipulation. In fact it was Orsted themselves that reported the deaths to the FWS. So yes, this is what you might call “arbitrary and capricious enforcement.”

One might be tempted to at first question that, since the Kentucky gubernatorial elections are held in odd-numbered years (next one’s in November 2027) that there’d be state legislative “midterms” on Tuesday. That used to be true but hasn’t been since a 1992 constitutional amendment. Maybe the latter part about the New York City and Virginia elections was sarcasm – which would still leave enough Kentuckians expecting to be able to vote 33 years after the state did away with the off-off-off-year elections to merit the Secretary of State tweeting that they’re all fucking idiots.

We were to understand that the shutdown was going to end after the No Kings protests. Then it might’ve been something else, who the hell remembers. NOW it’s after Tuesday’s elections because something something the Democrats keeping the government closed is motivating base turnout.

Multiple bomb threats have prompted the evacuations and closures of at least three polling sites in northern New Jersey on Tuesday morning, all of them in heavily Dem areas making it pretty fucking obvious which side is responsible for trying to dent the others’ turnout, News 12 reports.

Andre Sayegh, mayor of Paterson, the state’s third largest city, said polling sites at School 2 and School 10 were shut down as a precaution after the threats. Meanwhile Avanel Middle School in Middelsex County was shuttered due to “an active law enforcement investigation,” and voters were redirected to Woodbine Avenue Elementary School. Newark officials said they got both phishing emails and threats but the matter is still under investigation and no closures have been effected yet. Same story in Passaic where Mayor Hector Lora said the threats are still being evaluated.

Preeeeetty fucked up and probably going to be a fact of life going forward. One telling sentence in the News 12 article: “State and local law enforcement, as well as election boards in Newark, Hackensack, and Lodi have been contacted for comment.” Even this pretty lame news operation, founded by the widely disliked Dolan family of Cablevision fame, knows not to bother with calling the Trump Regime’s FBI and Department of Justice press offices for comment on the situation.

White trash MAGA Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, 37 and a grandmother to at least one, wore a sombrero and a traditional Mexican dress to a Halloween party in Loveland on Friday, ABC News reports.
