Convicted felon President Trump rambled to reporters on board Air Force One bound for Alaska on Friday, getting off on the wrong neurologically-impaired foot by quipping about Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s economy and that his genetics make him prone to violent conquest.

“The Emerson College Polling survey of the 2026 Republican US Senate primary in Texas shows a neck-and-neck race between incumbent Senator John Cornyn and Attorney General Ken Paxton, with Cornyn at 30 percent, Paxton at 29 percent, and 37 percent of voters still undecided,” says the often questionable-ish pollster in their intro to the first survey of the heated race in months.
This is by far the best result for Cornyn, and as such an extreme outlier. It’d be one thing if there was like a tightening where Pax’s 17 percent-ish average lead across previous findings fell while Corny gained, but it’s hard to imagine anyone sincerely taking this result seriously. Key word there emphasized because of course the establishment GOP are going to be demanding Paxton drop out immediately since there’s absolutely no path to victory for him after this devastating poll.
An Alexandria, Virginia man wanted on federal wire fraud charges over financial crimes he committed against at least four women he had dated over the last few years escaped from FBI agents just as they entered his apartment last Friday, fleeing via the balcony, WTOP reports.
According to prosecutors, Shawn Steven Harris, had “falsely represented to Victim 1 that he had held various federal jobs – previously with the US Treasury Department and US State Department, then with the US Defense Intelligence Agency, and lastly with the CIA,” telling the women he needed their credit cards for “government purchases” that he would later reimburse them for with pets, student loan payments, houses, cars, and so on, none of which ended up materializing.
Instead, for example, Harris put $15,000 on one victim’s credit card to buy electronics, DoorDash/GrubHub deliveries, Uber/Lyft rides, and at least one OnlyFans porn subscription.
Prosecutors dismissed the charges against Harris this week because his balcony’s on the 15th floor.
Convicted felon President Trump’s Reich keeps a “scorecard” that Axios reports rates 553 companies and trade associations on what they did to support his Big Beautiful piece of shit bill, something to consult when the lobbyists hired by these companies come knocking on the door of the White House. The “nice list” of “examples of good partners” includes Uber, DoorDash, United, Delta, AT&T, Cisco, Airlines for America, and the Steel Manufacturers Association.
A regime official tells the bullet-point news factory that the running list “helps us see who really goes out and helps vs those who just come in and pay lip service.” Examples of the “help” include sending a woman to wear a red “DoorDash Mom” t-shirt to stand behind Trump at a White House event last month to sell the “No tax on tips”, a blog post from Uber saying the same, a tweet from Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins saying he’s “encouraged by” the bill’s “corporate tax provisions,” and AT&T announcing more fiber-optic internet lines because of the “pro-investment policies” in the bill.
It’s not clear what the White House considers to be “just lip service.”
A new national survey from the Pew Research Center puts convicted felon President Trump’s approval rating at 38 percent to 60 percent disapproval, down from a 47 to 51 approve/disapprove in their February 2025 poll. The sharpest drop and thus most of the decline in approval came from among Trump voters aged 18 to 34, down from 92 percent in February to 69 percent in August.
The fat bastard’s approval rating on the self-inflicted Epstein files issue is particularly freaking bad: 25 percent approve to 70 percent disapprove, though he does at least manage a net +9 among Republican/lean Republican respondents at 53 percent approve to 44 percent approve. Yay?
You don’t need to parse very carefully what FBI Director Kash Patel told Sean Hannity on Thursday to understand that he and his fellow Trump minions are already giving up on accountability for what the fat fuck was last month calling the “CRIME OF THE CENTURY” before and after the 2016 election. Still worth flagging this part: “So the best approach is to release this information with them and also go to our colleagues in Congress” to point out that pretending elected federal legislators are members of a separate and coequal branch of the government is so last year. Now they’re just a notch above “team members,” kind of like Target corporate comms refers to part-time cashiers.
Anyway Kash says these “colleagues” have “an oversight function on the Judiciary Committees and Oversight Committees and demand from us information and documentation that we can publicize, things like the Durham Annex” and blah blah blah which is a long and stupid and very much intentionally obfuscatory way of saying FBI agents are not going to be perp-walking Hillary Clinton or Adam Schiff anytime soon. It’s more about symbolic accountability for these villains, lol.
A Tennessee man is dead after picking up and being bitten by what was likely a timber rattlesnake during a hike in the Savage Gulf State Park in Grundy County, USA Today reports without further embarrassing details about the kind of idiot that would intentionally pick up a rattlesnake.
Convicted felon President Trump has been, according to Rolling Stone, privately complaining about recent media appearances by Jeffrey Epstein’s victims like Annie Farmer and others whom the fat bastard privately claims are just trying to make him look bad and are “Democrats” likely coordinating with leftist groups and attorneys as part of the usual “Deep State” plot to take him down.
As always with Rolling Stone these White House stories feel isolated in sourcing from those of the more harmonized CNN, NBC, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, etc beat reporters, but as always there’s also nothing about it all that outlandish either. Especially given that the fat fuck has publicly expressed almost nothing or actually nothing in sympathy for the victims, coupled with the fact that the victims’ most recent appearances have been largely aimed at ripping Donald over his quid pro quo with Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell. Trump didn’t need any help looking bad after that.
“A central part of trauma is a feeling of a lack of control, and that has certainly been triggered here these meetings. You know, even this prison transfer was something I expected we would learn about prior to learning about it in the news, and unfortunately, that’s not how it has unfolded,” said Annie Farmer who, along with her sister Maria, testified against Maxwell in her 2021 trial.
MAGA influencer Batya Ungar-Sargon didn’t quite follow the script about New York City on Thursday, telling Fox Newsweiner Raymond Arroyo that convicted felon President Trump does not need to send federal troops to clean up the streets. In the latter part of the clip is Arroyo plainly annoyed at getting mocked by California Gov Newsom’s office for being offended about what Arroyo saw as mockery of Low Energy Greg Abbott when Newsom said he “rolled over for Trump.”
“Today, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and partners announced the final results and winners of the 2025 Florida Python Challenge™. During this year’s 10-day competition, 934 participants from 30 states and Canada helped support Everglades conservation by collectively removing a record 294 invasive Burmese pythons from south Florida. The intent of the Florida Python Challenge is to increase awareness about invasive species and the threats they pose to Florida’s ecology, while offering the public a way to get directly involved in Everglades conservation through removal of invasive Burmese pythons. This year’s event included the exciting addition of Everglades National Park as one of eight official competition locations,” says a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission announcing Taylor Stanberry as the winner of the $10,000 prize at 60 snakes, edging out second place Donna Kalil’s very close 56.
But again, they’re all kind of winners when they get to take home the gamey, flavorless snake meat.
About 100 federal agents were gathered Thursday outside of California Gov Gavin Newsom’s press conference where he announced his retaliatory redistricting plan, per KTLA. The governor on something Newsom remarked it was “no coincidence,” and no, there’s no way it was.
“He’s a failed president. Who else sends ICE at the same time we’re having a conversation like this? Someone who’s weak. Someone who’s broken. Someone whose weakness is masquerading as strength,” said Newsom of the Orange God Emperor, aimed intently at triggering the fat bastard.
A new Morning Consult survey of Medicaid recipients finds convicted felon President Trump’s approval rating among the demographic at 36 percent to 55 percent, which means that the headline lowballed it and it’s 45 percent that are fucking stupid given that 9 percent could somehow be unsure whether or not they like the Orange God Emperor given what he’s about to do to them.
Convicted felon President Trump this week called Norwegian Finance Minister Jens Stoltenberg to nag him about the Nobel Peace Prize, Politico EU reports citing a report from a local paper.
“It is true that President Trump called me a few days before his conversation with Prime Minister Støre. Several of the president’s staff members also participated in the conversation, including Treasury Secretary Bessent and Trade Representative Greer,” said Stoltenberg in a statement.
Claiming California now-Senator Adam Schiff is doomed after the latest who fucking cares, House Oversight Chairbilly James Comer on Thursday also sounded a note of caution, telling Fox Business Newsidiot Maria Bartiromo that “if they‘re allowed” by dipshit Attorney General Pam Bondi “to get away with this I’m gonna be disappointed, uh, my colleagues on the House Oversight Committee are gonna be disappointed, and everybody in America that’s watched Fox News and other conservative networks, uh, over the past four years are gonna be disappointed, so I’m optimistic.”
Not really sure what to add to that that hasn’t already been said many, many, many times on this site about how expectations are created and managed in the right wing infotainment universe.
Speaking on Fox Newsdouche Brian Kilmeade’s radio show on Thursday, convicted felon President Trump estimated a “25 percent” chance of failure to reach a peace deal with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin during their Friday meeting in Alaska, CNN’s Alayna Treene reports.
This came pretty much immediately after Trump said “I believe now he’s convinced that he’s going to make a deal. He’s going to make a deal. I think he’s going to. And we’re going to find out – I’m going to know very quickly.” Trump also said he hopes Zelensky will come.
Georgia Democrat Ashwin Ramaswami – no relation to Ohio Republican gov nominee Vivek “Da Vek” Ramaswamy, whose surname is anglicized slightly differently – has filed a federal lawsuit against incumbent Republican state Senator Shawn Still and his campaign’s comms firm over “outrageous, false, and malicious” statements made during Ramaswami’s unsuccessful campaign against Still last year, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports on a potentially pretty interesting case.
Typical story about right wing propaganda short, Ramaswami’s campaign had submitted a public records request to seek the names of students at a local high school in order to identify kids who might be eligible to vote. Kind of stupid and a waste of time since the percentage of seniors who would be 18 at the time of a November election would be very low double digits in any given high school (though the timing is unclear and maybe it happened in the spring before the primary).
Still, a “Stop the Steal” asshole among the 15 or so Trump minions still under indictment in the long-stalled Fulton County case, responded by sending out a mailer saying “If you or your teenager is approached inappropriately by creepy Ashwin Ramaswami, call the Fulton County Sheriff,” and using the word “solicitation” to associate it with prostitution and thus pedophilia. The complaint takes particular issue with that phrasing, saying it painted Ramaswami as “seeking to have sex with children, which Ashwin was not attempting,” and that images from certain mailers were “intentionally concocted” to make Ramaswami look like a pedophile. Ramaswami seeks punitive and other damages against Still and consultant Landmark Communications, and that they cover his legal fees.
In a video posted Thursday, former First Son Hunter Biden told podcaster Andrew Callaghan his response to Third Lady Melania Trump’s demands he retract his statements connecting her to Jeffrey Epstein which, as Hunter explains, did not originate with him.
“The Producer Price Index for final demand rose 0.9 percent in July, seasonally adjusted, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Final demand prices were unchanged in June and moved up 0.4 percent in May. On an unadjusted basis, the index for final demand advanced 3.3 percent for the 12 months ended in July, the largest 12-month increase since rising 3.4 percent in February 2025,” says the BLS’s monthly wholesale inflation report. EJ Antoni had ONE job, lol.
Dow Jones economists had expected just 0.2 percent, per CNBC, who also report that stock futures are taking a beating and the two-year Treasury yield is up 1 basis point to 3.693 on the news.
