Sick pedophile South Carolina Republican to plead guilty

Republican former South Carolina state Representative RJ May III, aka “joebidennnn69” has agreed to plead guilty to five federal counts of distributing sexual abuse material involving children and will do so formally on Monday, just over a week before he was set to go on trial, The State reports.

May, 38, is the father of two young children, the co-founder of the South Carolina state House’s Freedom Caucasians caucus, and the 2023 recipient of Moms for Liberty’s Legislator of the Year Award for his anti-“groomer” rhetoric. Not making that up. Out of approximately 8,074 federal, state, and territorial-level legislators in the United States theoretically eligible for the award that year, the one guy the insufferable MAGA Karen group chose to honor as their champion against “grooming” turned out to be, according to DHS, “he has a sexual interest in children the same age as his own children,” that he has “a sexual interest in incest” between young children and their parents, and had filmed himself in encounters with underage sex trafficking victims in hotel rooms in Colombia.

Of course having been born on the internet, Moms for Liberty did a pretty good job of scrubbing their site and social media profiles of any mentions of not just May but of that particular award itself, so it’s not clear who the 2022, 2024, and 2025 laureates would’ve been, if there were any. It could’ve just been a one-time thing. Either way it’s still an ugly stain for the group in the minds of the kind of people who read this site and approximately zero others elsewhere on the political spectrum.

Seriously, what the hell kind of price is Moms for Liberty ever going to pay for having honored a sick fucking freak who is facing up to 100 years in prison even after reaching a plea deal (max is 20 on each count, May’s probably looking at closer to 30 or 40 years)? Of course they almost certainly had no way of knowing before May’s house was raided by DHS last August, but would that have ever fucking mattered to Fox News, Chris Rufo, and the rest of the MAGAverse if May was a Democrat and had been named 2022 Legislator of the Year by the United Federation of Teachers?

Had trouble typing that with a straight face. Not even going to bother sketching out what that outrage cycle would have looked like so let’s belabor a different point: America needs a real counterweight to the MAGA propaganda-industrial complex. The fucking content is right here, in this article, literally a now-former elected Republican, literally the co-founder of the South Carolina state Freedom Caucasians, literally the Moms for Liberty national Legislator of the Year for 2023 (Super fun fact: That was the same year that one of Moms for Liberty’s co-founders and wife of the now-former chair of the Florida state Republican Party was publicly exposed as having been in an abusive polyamorous bisexual relationship with a troubled woman suffering from mental illness).

But you know THIS GUY’s a “DEMOCRAT.” They don’t even need to write it in the article. The pic and the headline are already hardcoded into the MAGA Brain OS’s algorithms. This edge case becomes the face of the libs for day while a sick fuck like RJ May flies under the radar of the impotent mainstream media’s cowering in fear of the regime and its propaganda machine.
