Harris campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillon on Monday told reporters that their team expects usable results from Georgia, North Carolina, and Michigan on Tuesday night, with Wisconsin and Pennsylvania coming in earlier during the day on Wednesday, the Wall Street Journal reports.

Anyway the Tampa Bay Times reports registered Republican voter Bryan Robert Eckley had previously been arrested on an aggravated assault charge on September 26th after getting into an argument with another man – “about politics” according to local police reports – and then showing up again at the man’s front door and pointing a rifle at the man’s face. Eckley then fired a shot into the air during that confrontation, for which he’s awaiting trial.

Three days later Eckley was spotted on surveillance video inside the Hard Rock Tampa Casino planting the two remote controlled explosive devices in the men’s room. An arrest warrant filed in Hillsborough County said the device consisted of a “fireworks receiver with blue wires connecting the receiver to a black plastic firework hand grenade and a small aerial mortar.” The warrant noted that one IED was found near a gas line, and both were placed in a manner that “had they detonated, it posed a risk of serious bodily injury to anyone in the vicinity.” The investigation took a month, but cops tied Eckley to the bombing attempt based on evidence gathered in the gun threat arrest.

It’s not clear yet if there was any connection between the two crimes, though obviously it’d be pretty on-brand for a Florida MAGA voter to try to blow a dude up in a casino over a political argument.

The final Marist College/NPR/PBS national survey of 2024 finds Vice President Kamala Harris leading convicted felon former President Trump 51 to 47 percent among likely voters. Harris is +3 in favorability at 50 to 47 percent favorable/unfavorable while Trump is minus-8 at 45 to 53 fav/unfav.

Worth noting is that in the final 2022 national Marist poll, they found the GOP leading Dems 49 to 46 percent in the generic ballot. The result was GOP 50 to Dems 47. Their final 2018 poll found Dems 50 to GOP 40 on the generic ballot. Result was Dems 53.4 to GOP 44.8 percent. In 2016 nationally they found Hillary at 44 percent to Trump 43 percent in the final survey. The result in the popular vote was Hillary 48.2 percent to Trump 46.1 percent. In October 2020 they found Biden leading Trump 54 to 43 percent but everyone fucked up that year. The pattern seems to be that they were more accurate in the years when it felt like there was more uncertainty overall than in 2018 and 2020 when Dem enthusiasm was clearly off the charts. Might just be a good sign this year.

Arguing in a hearing in Philly DA Larry Krasner’s lawsuit against Elon Musk over his $1 million lottery scam in Pennsylvania, defense lawyer Chris Gober told the judge on Monday that the giveaway is not actually a lottery, instead claiming “There is no prize to be won” and winners “are not chosen at random” but by their personal story and “suitability to serve” since it’s actually a salary they “earn” to be a “spokesperson” for the America PAC’s pro-Trump efforts, CNN’s Marshall Cohen reports.

Still, that Trump got 34,000 more votes in Philadelphia in 2020 than he did in 2016 was no accident. If he had managed to get, say, 134,000 more votes in the city plus another 200,000 in Detroit and 40,000 more in Las Vegas he would have won a second term and all we would’ve fucking heard about from the media for the past four years was how Dems blew it on the “ground game.”

“It is alleged that Fadanelli consistently represented to clients and employees that she is a nurse; in fact, Fadanelli is an aesthetician and is not licensed nor certified to dispense or administer prescription drugs or devices. According to payment records, from approximately March 2021 through March 2024, Fadanelli completed approximately 1,631 Botox appointments, totaling $522,869 in client payments, and 1,085 filler appointments, totaling $410,545 in client payments.”

The whole not properly-licensed thing is easy enough to get on board with. Safety first, second, and third when it comes to such matters. It’s just that it seems like if this woman was able to book and complete the better part of three thousand appointments over three years and this release says nothing about any injuries or disfigurement from it that kind of tells us it’s all way more about the false advertising. We’ll just skip the irony of an apparently otherwise safe but counterfeit version of a real product used to enhance fake lips and wherever the hell else they inject Botox these days.
