Immigration advocate and attorney Aaron Reichlin-Melnick tweeted that MIT and Harvard have prevailed for now in their lawsuit against DHS and ICE over student visas.
Wow. In MIT/Harvard case, DHS has fully agreed to rescind the July 6 ICE guidance and July 7 FAQ, and rescind all implementing guidance!
So no TRO, because the government backed down completely.

WSJ also reported earlier that the administration was re-evaluating the policy change: “The White House is weighing a plan to scale back new rules the Trump administration unveiled last week that would bar international students from remaining in the U.S. while taking classes remotely this fall, according to people familiar with the matter.”
