Realtor.com shows a listing for Fox “News” personality and alleged sexual harasser Tucker Carlson’s home in Washington, DC., listing the 5 bedroom, 6.5 bath home for $3.95 million.
The posting, which was made early in June, notes that the 7,400 square foot home on a quarter acre lot has attracted a lot of interest in the DC market. Carlson bought the home in 2017 for $3.895 million.
The fact that this house is publicly listed on a real estate website makes Carlson’s outburst at The New York Times Monday all the more curious given that Carlson threatened to dox the addresses of Times’ staffers who were involved in a story Carlson says is being published about him.
The pricing on the house is unusual because that DC real estate costs has been increasing since 2017. In 2017, the market grew by 3.8%, and it saw an annual increase of more than 2% since then. Selling the house for less than $1 million more than the cost at which he bought it means that Carlson will incur a significant loss after realtor commissions.
That wouldn’t be new for Carlson. According to Realtor.com, Carlson bought his previous home for $2 million in 2001, when the real estate market started to skyrocket–only to plummet during the Bush Great Recession. Carlson sold it in September 2017 at just $2.04 million.
