Presumptive Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Kamala Harris, named to the ticket with Joe Biden Tuesday, has announced Karine Jean-Pierre will be her Chief of Staff, according to HillReporter.
A political pundit and senior advisor to the Biden campaign, Jean-Pierre also served as regional director in the 2008 Barack Obama campaign and National Director for Battleground States during the 2012 Obama reelection campaign.
Jean-Pierre also became made national headlines when she blocked a protester who charged toward then-candidate Harris at a June 2019 town hall meeting.
She is an alumnae of Columbia University and later joined the university’s faculty as a lecturer in international and public affairs.
