An unknown person claimed to have received ballots supposedly from President and Mrs. Trump and delivered them to Florida election officials, after an unknown person picked up the ballots on Friday, the Washington Post reports.
Trump has railed against absentee ballots, also known as “mail in ballots” according to Trump’s lawyers, because he claims contrary to evidence that mail-in voting fraught with fraud.
Someone showed up at a Palm Beach election office, reportedly with letters from Trump and the First Lady, and collected ballots in their names. Those completed ballots were returned today for a primary election run off.
While the letters were not authenticated or notarized, the individual were given the ballots. There is no record that Trump received the ballots while he was at his Bedminster, New Jersey golf course this weekend, or at the White House on Monday.
No evidence exists that Trump and his third wife completed the ballots themselves. It’s also not clear if it was a government employee who picked up the ballots.
