In a newly reopened Rose Garden that has gotten mixed reviews for its design, Melania Trump made a grand entrance out the doors of the White House and used her runway skills that garnered her an Einstein Visa to the United States to not fall on her walk down an amazing long sidewalk.
Reading her statement in front of a crowd that had very little social distancing and even fewer masks, Melania said that her “deepest sympathy goes out to everyone who has lost a loved one, and my prayers are with those who are ill or suffering.”
[FACT CHECK: On February 26, when the US had 15 recorded cases of coronavirus, Donald Trump said that “within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero.” We now have more than 175,000 fatalities.]
Mrs. Trump claimed that “Donald will not dressed until he has done all he can to take care of everyone impacted by this terrible pandemic.”
[FACT CHECK: Trump has played no fewer than 14 rounds of golf since the virus was detected in the United States, and his daily public schedule regularly has nothing on it.]
Melania said that growing up in Slovenia, she had a dream of coming to America and working in the fashion industry. She thanked her parents, who came to the United States through a “chain migration” program that allowed her to sponsor her parents’ migration, for making her dream possible.
Melania continued with “Trump is very aggrieved by the media” theme of the evening, while claiming Trump is never forgetting the working people of America.
Throughout her speech, Mrs. Trump gave a travel journal of her various trips paid for by taxpayers: Rome, Mali, Egypt, Israel, etc.
She highlighted her Be Best program, without actually explaining what the purpose of the program is.
“America is in his heart,” Melania said without mentioned that Donald’s hand is in America’s pocket while his, um, “mushroom” was in Stormy Daniels.
As she stood in the Rose Garden, which she redesigned and removed a number of the rose bushes planted by previous First Ladies while stripping trees planted by iconic First Lady Jackie Kennedy, Melania said, “I also look forward to continue to my work to restore the People’s House, which is a lasting symbol of the pride for our nation.”
“I believe this iconic home needs to be cared for and preserved,” Melania said, “so it can be enjoyed by the people of this country and visitor from around the world for years to come.”
Speaking directly to the “mothers of this country,” Melania said, “Just like me, I know many of you watch how mean and manipulative social media can be,” without an iota of self-awareness of her husband’s use of social media to demean and insult people.
“To mothers and parents everywhere, you are warriors,” Melania said, “In my husband, you have a president who will not stop fighting for you and your families. I see how hard he works each day and night, and despite unprecedented attacks in the media and opposition, he will not give up. In fact, if you tell him he cannot be done, he just works harder.”

“We all know that Donald Trump makes no secrets about how he feels about things. Total honesty is what we as citizens deserve in our president. Whether you like it or not,” Melania said, “you always know what he’s thinking.”
[FACT CHECK: See “Daniels, Stormy” above. Also, Trump has lied more than 26,000 times since he’s been in office. And no, we do not always know what he’s thinking, because it appears that sometimes he’s just thinking about himself.]
