The United States set another record for new daily confirmed cases of coronavirus Thursday, with no fewer than 88,500 cases recorded, marking the fourth time in the last seven days more than 80,000 cases were reported.
According to worldometers.info, the US registered 91,330 new cases, which would be the first time the nation cracked the 90,000 mark in daily cases. The COVID Tracking Project logged 88,500 new cases Thursday.
Both data trackers recorded more than 1,000 coronavirus-related fatalities for Thursday in the US, the second day in a row surpassing that milestone.
All 50 states showed an increase in the number of new cases over the last seven days, according to the COVID Tracking Project. Texas led the nation in both new cases and fatalities for the last two days.
