Noticed lately that we’re almost too exhausted to feel like this was a real win. The defiance of Trump and his fans is indeed as insufferable as every other assault on the rest of us has been. But remember: They’re not happy. They’re fucking miserable right now. This is the worst thing that has ever happened to them. Whatever joy they felt when Trump got away with the literally dozens of scandals that would’ve ended any other presidency is gone now because they didn’t get that one most important lib-owning: A second Trump term.

Who among you wouldn’t have dreamed of this tweet in the spring of 2019, when Trump originally posted that Game of Thrones meme, gloating over the “win” he got in an investigation where he and his minions arguably committed treason and got away with it, and now today he’s crying that he actually won two weeks later – and Twitter hilariously fact-checking him? This is awesome. There’s more work to do sure, but let’s enjoy this. We earned it.
