According to the New York Times election tracker, Democratic President-elect Joe Biden has now tallied more than 80 million votes nationally in the November 3rd presidential election. He holds a 6.2 million vote advantage over lame duck president Donald Trump, as well as a “historic” 306-232 advantage in the Electoral College.
The 80 million votes is the most cast for any candidate in American history. Biden holds 51.0 of the popular vote versus 47.1 for Trump. Trump earned a lower percentage of the vote than Mitt Romney got in his losing 2012 campaign.
