Donald Trump, Jr.–a.k.a. Lucky Sperm–is considering running for a leadership role within the National Rifle Association, according to a report from Business Insider based on people close to Junior.
With no outside business experience aside from working for his father’s company, and with his only applicable skill set being his desire to kill things, Junior’s chances of taking over for NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre appear slim. Junior has also been barred by the State of New York from taking a leadership position in any non-profit organization due to his and his family corruption of the defunct Trump Foundation, which was found to be a personal slush fund for his father and his family.
Junior is contemplating life after his father leaves the White House in January. He has spoken about running for public office, including in upcoming Senate campaigns, or even mounting a presidential run in 2024, if his father opts not to run. The prospects of his family company, the Trump Organization, appear limited because of financial obligations that come due in upcoming years that threaten the business’s viability and his family’s claimed fortune. Reportedly, Donald Trump, Sr. owes in excess of $400 million to creditors for loans that he personally guaranteed.
He has other hurdles to such plans, however, including but not limited to his involvement in numerous lawsuits and criminal cases that are expected to be unsealed after January 20, 2021; the New York State Attorney General has stated that she has more than 60 cases waiting to be unsealed.
Junior will have to overcome an executive staff and board of directors loyal to the disgraced LaPierre, who recently admitted to using NRA funds for personal benefit and enrichment. The New York Attorney General also has a suit in state court to de-charter the NRA and bar its leadership from serving on non-profit boards in the future.
Also noted in the same article: Junior’s girlfriend, former Fox News personality Kimberly Guilfoyle, wants an on-air gig at NewsMax. Guilfoyle was fired from Fox News for alleged sexual harassment of subordinates. She was hired by the Trump campaign, at a salary of $15,000 per month, to be a fundraiser; during her tenure with the campaign, her practices were questioned by donors for actions like offering lap dances to those bundlers who raised the most money.
