A Fulton County (Georgia) Superior Court judge rejected a lawsuit filing by the Elite Special Force Team of lawyers representing lame duck president Donald Trump because the ESFT failed to pay a filing fee and neglected to file proper paperwork, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
This comes the same day when a federal court in Georgia dismissed a case filed by ex-ESFT member Sidney Powell and another Powell suit in Michigan was rejected. Also, a case filed by L. Lin Wood was rejected by a Georgia court on Saturday.
Giuliani had announced this latest lawsuit in a meeting with Georgia Republicans last week, before he was hospitalized with coronavirus. Trump himself applied pressure to Georgia’s Republican governor, Brian Kemp, to call for a special session of the state legislature to overturn the popular vote.
According to the AJC, “Among other things, they said it would reveal tens of thousands of ineligible voters – felons, people who registered when they were underage, out-of-state residents and others – cast ballots in the November election.”
Georgia is expected to certify, for the third time, its election results Monday afternoon.
