As he attempts to subvert the legal votes of tens of millions of people in other states, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s office was served a federal subpoena Wednesday to turn over records related to an ongoing federal investigation into corruption accusations, KHOU CBS-11 reported.
The state Attorney General received the subpoena from the FBI for records related to charges, spurred by whistleblowers in his own office, that Paxton used his office to benefit Austin investor Nate Paul, who had donated tens of thousands of dollars to Republican candidates in the last decade.
Per the report, “[s]ources confirmed to KVUE the requests for information were issued on Wednesday at the agency’s headquarters on West 14th Street. It was not immediately clear how many subpoenas were issued or what information federal agents sought.”
