Dominion Voting Systems has asked social media platforms Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Parler to preserve past posts that might relate to their lawsuits against Fox News, Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell and others, the Washington Post reports.
On Wednesday, Dominion’s lawyers stated in letters to the companies that the social media posts exemplify the spread of misinformation about the company propagandized by the defendants. The deplatforming of Parler, as well as the suspension of the accounts on the other services of accounts of Giuliani and Powell, have made the posts unavailable to the lawyers.
The lawyers also asked for the preservation of accounts run by Donald Trump, the Trump campaign and media companies including Fox News, Newsmax and One America News.
Additionally, Dominion asked Twitter to remove any posts connecting the company to the recent unrest in Myanmar. Recently, posts from provocateurs have linked the company to the military coup in that country, although there’s no evidence of any connection of Dominion to the Myanma military.
