- I don’t necessarily support eliminating the filibuster, but I agree it needs to be reformed. I favor bringing back the requirement that the objecting member keep the floor. I also think the burden should be put on the objecting (minority) party, requiring them to produce 40 votes on record to maintain the filibuster, instead of requiring the majority party to produce 60 votes to override it.
