While attending a tradition Jewish practice of shivah, mourning a close friend or relative who recently passed away, being held at his CFO’s house, Donald Trump repeatedly showed mourners photos on his cell phone of naked women on a yacht with him, a new report from the New Yorker recounts.
The 2004 incident, told by Jennifer Weisselberg, the daughter of Trump Organization CEO Allen Weisselberg, started when Trump rolled up to the Weisselberg house in Wantagh, a town on Long Island. “This is where my C.F.O. lives? It’s embarrassing!” Trump declared as he exited his limousine.
As a writer for Business Insider notes in his report of the incident: “The shivah period lasts seven days and follows the burial of a close family member. It does not involve nude photographs.”
Allen Weisselberg is said to be a key witness in numerous investigations going on in New York regarding fraudulent dealing with Trump Organization finances. The State Attorney General is pursuing a civil case while the Manhattan District Attorney is investigating possible criminal charges.
Jennifer Weisselberg’s account, however, shows the closeness between her then father-in-law and Trump. After showing the people the photos of the naked women, Trump then started harassing Jennifer, who was married to Weisselberg’s son at the time.
“After that, he started hitting on me,” Jennifer Weisselberg said. Her father-in-law “didn’t stand up for me.”
