A person Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (Q-GA) called a “friend” and “amazing” who attended rallies with Greene was caught in recordings as part of the group of domestic terrorists who entered the Capitol during the January 6th coup attempt, CNN reports.
Anthony Aguero had admitted to CNN previously that he attended the insurrectionist attack, but declined to say one way or another if he entered the building. Aguero posted videos from inside the building after January 6th, but claimed they were from screenshots of other people’s phones.
On other videos, Aguero is heard urging on people trying to smash the doors on the west side of the Capitol building, chanting “heave ho” as a crowd pushed forward through one of the doors.
New video, however, clearly shows Aguero inside the Capitol. Aguero also posted since-deleted live-stream video of himself standing on the east side of the Capitol after rioters breached the west side, implying that he walked through the building to the other side.
Video Aguero posted boasted that he was in the middle of the chaos. “The National Guard has just been called in,” he continued. “A woman was shot in the face earlier. There was blood all over the floor. I recorded it for y’all. I could not go live during the whole event because the signal was either jammed purposely or there was just too many, too many people out there. Guys, I was able to make it inside the chambers and I have footage that I’m going to provide for you guys as we made our way in there.”
Greene has repeatedly defended the acts of the insurgents, claiming that they were acting in defense of Donald Trump in exposing a corrupt election, although she has, in front of cameras, made statements against them.
